Kanye West and 50 cent faced off in the battle of the rappers. Kanye West and 50 cent two of the biggest names in hiphop released their albums on the same day 11 september 2007. What made it more interesting was that 50 cent claimed he would end his career as a performing artist."If Kanye West sells more records than 50 cent on september 11, I'll no longer (perform) music."

Kanye West was now crowned the new king of hiphop and the defeated 50 cent not being true to his word later took back his statement saying his was going to end his career.
The truth about it all is that 50 cents new album "Curtis" is absolutely rubbish compared to his previous albums. Theres only one good song on it and thats "Ayo technology" where as Kanye Wests new album "Graduation" is far better, with songs such as the "the good life" and his massive hit "stronger" a remix of Daft punks origional song. This remix shows West's skills not just as a rapper but also as a producer.
Just recently I went to see 50 cent in the rds. There was a bigger crowd than i expected, It was like a sauna!! It was absolutely digusting sweaty people rubbing up against you because it was so packed. The concert was pretty good, I had a great laugh. 50 cent played most of his old school songs, he did play a few new ones from his new album but no one really new the words and the crowd went kind of quite.I'd rate him 7/10 as a live performer.
Last year february 2006, I went to see Kanye West in the point. I was absolutely hammered and missed the opening act. I started getting sick everywhere just after we got into the point. The next thing i knew a person in a highlighter jacket was ushering me to the medics. When they thought i was well enough to go they let us out near the mosh pits right up the front!! It was deadly because we were so close to the stage.
He absolutely rocked the house, it was the best concert i've ever gone to and still is!I'd rate him 10/10 as a live performer! I really want to go to his gig on the 30th of november but i don't have tickets! so if your reading this and know anyone whose selling tickets get them to leave a comment!!
